Sketchbook Practice - 9/24/26

A sketchbook is more than a place to draw. It’s a space to experiment, explore ideas, practice new skills, and discover how you see the world!
In this hands-on class, young artists will learn the value of keeping a sketchbook as part of their everyday art practice. Students will try a variety of art materials and techniques while exploring different subjects, including people, emotions, animals, nature, objects, imagination, and the world around them.
Each class will offer new prompts and creative challenges designed to encourage observation, experimentation, and personal expression. Students will have the freedom to make mistakes, try something new, and develop their own artistic style without worrying about creating a “perfect” drawing.
Whether they are sketching with pencil, experimenting with color, working with ink, or combining different materials, students will fill their sketchbooks with ideas, discoveries, and artwork they can look back on as their skills grow.
Sketchbooks and drawing materials provided. Open to all skill levels. Come ready to draw, experiment, get curious, and make your sketchbook your own!
Ages: 10-13 yrs
Cost: Pre-pay $60 for entire 4-class session.
