Insect Art Workshop
4 class dates: 6/15, 6/17, 6/22, 6/24
9am-11am
Explore the world of insects through art projects like watercolor paintings, paper mache, beaded wire sculptures, and model terrariums. Young artists and nature lovers will explore the fascinating world of insects through creative, hands-on projects inspired by bugs. Projects Include: Dragonfly, ladybug, and cicada watercolor paintings / Butterfly paper mâché sculpture / Beaded insect creations / Mini insect model terrarium. 🌱 All materials provided.
Ages: 9-13
Cost: $50 per child for entire workshop of 4 class dates.
Fairy house Workshop
4 class dates: 6/15, 6/17, 6/22, 6/24
12pm-2pm
Create a magical paper mache tree for fairies to live in. Artists will explore the magical world of fairies through hands-on art and nature-inspired building projects. Students will design and build whimsical fairy tree houses using paper mâché, paint, natural textures, and decorative elements. Projects include: Paper mâché fairy tree house construction, painting and decorating miniature fairy details, natural texture and woodland-inspired embellishments 🌱 All materials provided.
Ages: 9-13
Cost: $50 per child for entire workshop of 4 class dates.
If you would like your child to stay for both workshops, you are welcome to provide a lunch and they can stay on site in a supervised area.
This program supports the Downriver Council for the Arts’ mission to connect creativity and community. By registering, you give kids a chance to explore, create and talk about the natural world right in our own neighborhoods. 🌳
