fibril: any of various threadlike fibers or filaments that are constituent parts of a cell or larger structure. cellulose fibrils are the main component of cell walls in plants. fibrils make up the contractile part of striated muscle fiber in the body.
The Downriver Council for the Arts (DCA) is excited to present “Fibril Illusions”, an art exhibit highlighting fiber and fashion arts. All forms of fiber art, felting, embroidery, weaving, fabric, painted media with a fibril motif, sculpture, jewelry art, textile, mixed media, artist crochet and quilting will be considered for review. Be creative! Your imagination holds the strings.
Curator – Cheryl Zemke, multi award winning fashion designer, owner of C. Creations and producer of the annual C. Creations Fashion Show, and editor of Dedicated Magazine.
