Acanthus Art Society - Monthly

This is a society that promotes the appreciation and enjoyment of the creative arts and original crafts. We support community art activities and provide lectures, demonstrations, and classes. Established in 1933 and founded the Wyandotte Art Fair in 1961. Open to anyone who has a love for the arts!

Meetings are on the 4th Wednesdays of each month at 6pm at the Downriver Council for the Arts, Main Gallery, 81 Chestnut, Wyandotte.

We have a general meeting for the first 30 minutes, then an art activity or presentation for the last 1.5 hours. Membership is $20 annually. Acanthus members can also take advantage of the Downriver Council for the Arts membership benefits, including discounted entry fees into the main gallery exhibits!
