Beginning Acrylics - Summer/Fall 2026
Wednesdays from 6:00pm-8:00pm
Learn how to paint with acrylic! This 6-week beginner class offers the basics: how an artist sees, tools, materials, paint application, color mixing, composition, and painting techniques. We will paint still life while having fun in a relaxed atmosphere. Supply list with links to products is located below. If you’ve taken a session with Donna before, the projects will be different.It is recommended that you take 2-3 sessions of the Beginning class before moving to Intermediate.
Summer Session II: 8/19, 9/2, 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30 (no class 8/26)
Fall Session: 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11

We recommend purchasing from a reputable fine arts supplier, but you can also find these items at your local craft store or online. Please do not buy craft grade supplies. If you have questions or you prefer other supplies, bring them with you on the first day of class and discuss with the instructor. At minimum, you will need paint, a few brushes and a canvas for the first day.
Paint: Liquitex Basics Acrylic Paints - Set of 12, Assorted Colors, 118 ml (4oz tubes)
Brushes: natural or synthetic bristles - Blick Scholastic Wonder White
Flat – 2”, 1”, ½”
Round – #12, #10, #8 or #6
6 Canvases: 11”x14” primed - Blick Academy 2/pack
Palette: Masterson Sta-Wet Palette, papers for palette
Roll of paper towel
Pencil and eraser
1 white chalk pencil or watercolor pencil
Apron/smock/old shirt optional, but we also have some on hand.
Container, tackle box, or bag to carry all your art supplies.
